Meet Sandy Lee
Sandy Lee spent more than 30 years in engineering and construction, ending as SVP of Services and running a private equity division, before buying her first short-term rental at 52. Three more followed within two years, and she retired at 55. She now runs four properties across four states herself, in a few hours a week, as Distilled Destinations, with more than 350 guest reviews at 99% five-star and revenue growing 15 to 20% a year. She has been a guest on the BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast and BiggerPockets Real Estate Rookie, teaches new investors through STR JumpStart, and is the author of Building Joy: A Better Way to Build Wealth Through Short-Term Rentals.
